submitted by kmays in Las vegas
I held my family reunion in las vegas this past July and we did a scavenger hunt which was a big hit. We stayed at the Desert Rose Resort which is family friendly, away from the strip but also within walking distance. Sarah-Marie was my contact she was great to work with. I hope that helps. Good Luck!

Hello, we have a family reunion every year. We try to visit different cities. We've been to Houston, Chicago, Vallejo, St. Louis, Memphis, Orlando, Atlanta, DC...etc When we planned for Orlando, we had our banquet at House of Blues. The food was great and the music was awesome! This year we're going to Minneapolis, I'm in the process of planning it right now. You can email me at kmsj1962@aol.com.

We have been working with African-American families in the Charlotte area with their family reunions. We have a publication called the African-American Historical News Journals, which have been used in gift bags.
The Journal is a 64-page compilation of African-American newspaper articles written from the 1700's up to the Civil Rights Movement. The topics include influential women, statesmen and politicians, entrepreneurs, inventors, military and war heroes, and commerce.
It is amazing to read about the African-American contributions to our country.
Please email me if you have any questions.
