I am planning a family reunion in Texas. I live in the Dallas area and would like to find something in central Texas. I dont know when we can meet, how many can come, much of anything at this point. Where do I start?

You want to start by making a directory of your family and then calling some of them to recruit help for the plannning. I live in California but most of my family is in texas and I am planning a family reunion for June of this year. It will be in Fort Worth. are you doing this on your own?

I am an event planner. One of my passions is Family Reunions. I make all the reservations. I send all the letters/invitations. I come up with the activities/entertainment. I can order t-shirts. I can even do some research on your famliy's history. If you interested in letting someone else do ALL of the planning, email me at g_n_lancaster@sbcglobal.net

Hello Pam! Planning a reunion is a great task! If you need a hotel to host your event please consider the Dallas/Fort Worth Marriott Hotel and Golf Club at Championship Circle. We are located across from the Texas Motor Speedway and offer highly competitive rates. I will be happy to assist you in all of your hotel/event space needs. In the mean time please take a look at our hotel website listed below. We are close to everything but have a great resort feel.
Another route is to get in touch with the Convention Visitor's Bureau in the city you are looking at. They are a wealth of knowledge!
We have our Family Reunion every year in Waco, TX, in July, I am from there, we come from all over the United States, some of our family stay with relatives some of stay in hotels, if you book with them tell them if they give you a good rate your family will stay with them every year that you come, and that this is a Family Reunion and they will give you a deal and let them know if you will be using any of their conference rooms, we have been doing this for the last 25 yrs
